Her ring is inscribed with a reference to the biblical verse I Thessalonians 4:3-4, which translates as: "God wants you to be holy, so you should keep clear of all sexual sin. Then each of you will control your body and live in holiness and honour”.
Her school said her ring broke the uniform rules and ordered her to remove it. When she refused, she was taken out of lessons and made to study on her own.
Lydia Playfoot says that Sikh and Muslim pupils wear bangles and headscarves in class. She also says that other pupils regularly broke the uniform code with nose rings, tongue studs, badges and dyed hair.
In her opinion the only reason for banning her ring was because the school refused to “give respect to aspects of the Christian faith they are not familiar with”.
My question is: - How can a small ring be a treat to anyone???
Unbelievable!!!
What about the great British flag and its cross symbol? And what about the future of the Scandinavian flags??? They all contain huge crosses. When will the authorities go for a change? This is another question, but still the same issue. What are happening to the western world, and its values???
There is just one thing that needs to be said: - God bless Lydia Playfoot and all her “purity ring” friends!!!
